Latest reads...
I will single out two old stories today :
The first one is "Sacrifices to be Made" by Heather Sinclair, published in 2003. The other one is "Harry Potter and the Season of Heart" by Ice-Tea-1983, published in 2006. Both are just below the 100K words, and I picked them deep in the last pages of the favourite lists of some well-known authors. I was a bit craving for fanfic to read these days, but those oldies are quite enjoyable (Sacrifices to be Made is 56 short chapters, well suited for reading on a smartphone...)
Unspeakable Things
Darth Marrs' "Unspeakable Things" (formerly "Defense for Two") is now complete, a round 60 chapters. A steady story worth the read, even for a HP/GW (grin), in case you never stumbled on it.
Aww, shit...

Best Severitus Ever
Severus Snape finds himself in McGonagall's office as the Hogwarts Letters are being prepared, and he notices the curious adress on Harry Potter's, and wonders if I might get one over James Potter...Then...just read "The Best Revenge" by Arisnoe de Bassenville.
I almost skived work to read it, it's well thought, funny and positive. Many canon points are used wisely, and it's a very consistent 1st Year alternative. A must read, definitely.
The Cheese Shop
And in Potterverse, it gives "The Wand Shop" by NothingPretentious (the excellent "Harry Amidst the Vaults of Stone"). I might have already reviewed this one-shot, but both the original and the transcription are hilarious.
Agent L.
A one shot, quick read, (sort of) HP/Men in Black crossover, "Agent Elle" by JoeHundredaire. A few minutes of pleasure in a day of (*whatever*).
If Wishes Were Unicorns
"If Wishes Were Unicorns"...oh, blimey, it would be rather messy. This is a short story by justanothermuggle, based on some kind of Mirror of Erised mishap. Borderline Crack!Fic (but no really).
Read and enjoy, keeping in mind that no Unicorn was harmed during the writing of this story.
Will he be happy?
Back to serious stuff, "Will he be happy?" is an interesting story by KafkaExMachina, starting when Dumbledore asks the eponym question to Snape, who answers truthfully.
Still a WIP, 12 (great) chapters so far, enjoy, alert and such.
Damnit.
"Harry Potter has been chosen to be Head Girl of Hogwarts. She soon finds out that her partner will none other than Draco Malfoy. With the war over with, and teenage hormones raging, what will happen between them?"
Hopefuly, someone will shoot me before I read any more.
(Which I won't do, by the way. I still have "Silly Ruler Waving" to complete, and I haven't been able to type anything but utter crap lately).
